Shortest complete three-symbol window
A round draws eight independent symbols A, B or C, each with probability 1/3. Find the shortest contiguous window in the complete word containing all three symbols. If its length is L, the terminal reward is 9−L. Without such a window, the reward is zero. There are exactly three symbol types, not extra colours or symbols.
An ABC window has length 3 and reward 6. AABCCCCB has shortest complete window ABC at positions 2–4 and also gives 6. AAAAAAAA never contains all three and gives 0. The game searches automatically: the player cannot alter the hidden word or pick a different scoring window.
Exact conditional quote and 97% expectation
Across all 6,561 equally likely complete words, reward counts are 0:765,1:6,2:24,3:72,4:198,5:666 and 6:4,830. The initial mean is 412/81, approximately 5.086419753. The quote is 0.97 times the exact conditional expected terminal reward divided by 412/81. It begins at 0.97.
This quote can rise or fall and becomes zero when no positive terminal reward remains possible. Zero ends the round immediately. Under the exact fair-symbol model, collecting using only revealed information gives 97% expected gross return relative to the stake. This is not a win probability, an inevitable session outcome or a claim about outside games.
All displayed Auto thresholds are unreachable
The largest terminal reward is 6, so no conditional quote exceeds 0.97× 6÷(412/81)=1.1442233009708738. Every displayed Auto threshold—1.2,1.5,2,3 or 5—is above that maximum. Selecting any of them therefore waits until terminal settlement or an immediate zero, unless the player manually collects first.
The general first-crossing rule would pay the entire actual crossing quote rather than a capped threshold. It does not create a crossing that the reward law cannot reach. In this game there is no reachable displayed threshold, no guaranteed peak and no second 3% deduction.
Local virtual balance and fractional carry
The initial balance is 1,000 free virtual coins without monetary value or prize entitlement. The settled balance and fractional payout carry are kept in local browser storage when available. A fraction is carried into later settlements rather than discarded on each payout.
Restore balance is available only while idle and below the minimum stake of 10. It sets the balance to 1,000, rather than adding 1,000, and preserves the fraction. It is a manual button, not an automatic reset or a refund for an interrupted round.
Search name and separate Cover Window demo
TQTQ is used here as a search name without a confirmed commercial identity. This independent guide hosts its own Cover Window browser game. It confirms no operator, affiliation, official domain, licence, payment service or external app. A similar name does not prove a common publisher.

How is the terminal window scored?

What does 97% expected return mean?

Can any displayed Auto threshold be reached?
